It’s time to go back to school…well at least to the schoolhouse! Tomorrow launches the 12-week series Schoolhouse Dash designed by Kristie J. Smith through Stitchin’ Heaven. I am so excited to be chosen as the remote educator for such a fun quilt. If you haven’t joined in the fun, don’t worry, there is still time to jump in and quilt along with me.
Schoolhouse Dash takes us back to 12 traditional blocks that will help you build your skills as you move through the quilt. From simple 9-patch to snail trail and more, I’ll take you through all the steps to make beautiful blocks, show you how to get those perfect points, and show you some of my favorite tricks and trips along the way.
Once a week a new video and the block pattern will become available for you to watch along and build your quilting desires to make this beautiful quilt. If you have any questions you can always message me at mitzi@reddhomestead.com, join on the Facebook Group titled Schoolhouse Dash Sew-Along, and see more details on Stitchin’ Heaven’s website at https://stitchinheaven.com/products/schoolhouse-dashquilt-pattern-digital-download ,
I hope you can join me on this quilting journey as we make this beautiful quilt with the Island Batik fabrics.

Just found the site and saw your gorgeous sewing space(s)….and came away truly inspired. I’ve been quilting a LONG time with 2 dedicated sewing spaces, neither of which are organized, so I’m hoping to get moving into organization! Looking forward to going through your archive….blessings from WV (we formerly lived in Maryland for a few years and still have family there).
